Feb 1, 2010 - If I have to guess, she probably eventually escapes to Brazil, reunited with her mother..and becomes free from an abusive relationship. There was a big bruise on her eye. The character that Clive Owen played must have understood her situation, hence he decided to stop following her and quit the job. Beautiful song!

Nov 3, 2010 - There's always something waiting at the end of the road. If you're not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

Nov 10, 2010 - @mdoub lol. I'd say: much ado about nothing. The harder you ponder this piece of work, the more confusing it gets. Not sure what point WKW is trying to make - I'm thinking he's trying too hard...I wouldn't want to associate a car with some deep, philosofical view on life. Which makes this short rather funny.

Jul 30, 2011 - How much is BMW paying these schmucks?

Jul 30, 2011 - Another reason to never buy into the hype of a car. I will never buy a BMW.
Lainer1 Says:
Jul 30, 2011 - here's always something waiting at the end of the road. If you're not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place. And you certainly shouldn't be in a BMW if you have a boring life. Go drive a Hynudai!

Aug 15, 2011 - Viewing this film all these years later showed me how great talent attracts each other, even in the "minor" roles. Both Forest Whitaker and Mickey Rourke both went on to great careers. And of course, love for Adriana Lima. I had never imagined that 10 years ago, Wong Kar Wai and Clive Owen teamed up with this great cast. I hope WKW gets to do more of these =)

Jan 22, 2012 - I love the way Wong Kar Wai uses his "signature": waiting...pause.....focus...details...pause...done intelligently...it is the height of Hong kong cinematic arthouse! :) The resolutions/conclusions/refrains are always in the silence and not the words...nicely done!
