Apr 10, 2012 - Copyright is a hugely complex subject - I think it depends on how much of the original material you use in your remix. I think you can claim "fair use" on small segments of it, but if there is a noticable chunk of the original music appearing in your remixes, then I think the label gets to stake a claim to it. I don't know for sure. Might be worth contesting the claim under "fair use".Good luck.
