It doesn't really continue with the main story line, it is what you call a "sub story line".Hope that made more sense :)

May 28, 2012 - I say,If you played Bioshock 1,then you'll definitely know that this game isn't as good.But, considering its very cheap price,I say you should buy it for some of the gameplay improvements,and if you've beaten the first game about 5 times(because I know you have),then it'll be refreshing to explore some of the new places in Rapture,and it's still pretty cool to play as a big daddy.Although you'll probably miss the creepy atmosphere and horror from the first game.The story also isn't as memorable.

May 28, 2012 - I thought Bioshock 2 was just as good as the first one, if not better. The way the story was set up, it really made me feel like a part of it and I was attatched to Eleanor. It also improved on a lot of things from the first game. That being said, it was a great game.

There are gameplay improvements, but the horror aspect from the first game isn't really there anymore. I also wish they let you explore more new places in rapture. It's still a great game, I just enjoyed Bioshock 1 more.
