May 16, 2008 - I find it funny that you say that because General Choi Hong Hi is the Father Of Tae Kwon Do. All of Tae Kwon Do both ITF and WTF. The reason that it became fractured is because of North Korea and South Korea. Different Rules same Protocol and same Techniques. Tae Kwon General

Nov 8, 2008 - What a true martial arts legend! What a great Korean war hero! He created Taekwondo and founded International Taekwondo Federation to promote Taekwondo internationally. He loved his country. He loved his race. He loved his art - Taekwondo.
suckskwondo Says:
Nov 8, 2008 - But too bad, on May 28, 1973, a bastard organization was illegitimately founded in his country and a bastard art was created subsequently. It was sad that they called the bastard art "Taekwondo". Nowadays, many people think that the bastard art should be called "Tae Tae Do". Some even suggest that the bastard art should be called "Hands Down Do". I personally call the bastard art "SUCKSKWONDO", and I truly think that the bastard art (Suckskwondo) is a disgrace to all martial arts in the world.

Jun 30, 2009 - The General did only make ITF.KOREA wanted to use his martial art to military stuff. He did not want that, so Korea expelled him, so he moved to Canada, some black belts he had trained made WTF to use in korean military, and The General answerd with ITF!That's the diffrence, WTF is the official in Korea, but it's not the ''orginal'' tkd.
thefalz Says:
Feb 18, 2010 - wtf are you, a propaganda machine?
Associazione Says:
May 3, 2011 - Actually that is not the reason why, Choi was a high ranking General in the military, it was he who convinced the president of South Korea to make it mandatory that the military had to train in Taekwon-do. The WTF was formed because, in short, corrupt people wanted Choi to step aside and they wanted to take full control, credit and profit from it and adding their own rules. Of course Choi declined so they formed a highly sophisticated , violent plan to spread WTF instead.
viewer1964 Says:
Jul 12, 2011 - The WTF was formed after he exiled himself to Canada in 1972. He didn't go to North Korea until 1980.
Shadowkin234 Says:
Jul 14, 2011 - Tae Kwon Do was created by General Choi. Ther was not ITF and WTF when he created it. As there was also no GTF and CTFI and ICTF and every other organization that sprung up after his death. Tae Kwon Do was his dream and his baby. They changed what they needed to to create an independent organization and have himself in charge. We have spent from that point trying to reunite Tae Kwon Do so that we can all join in General Choi's wish of having a united Tae Kwon Do.
