The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and decided to plan a concert for America. The show was put together in six weeks and was held on September 22, 1985 in Champaign, Illinois before a crowd of 80,000 people. It raised over $9 million for America's family farmers. Performers included Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, B.B. Nov 15, 2011 - Yeah, man, i have a feeling that Johnny got the biggest cheers while ol' Waylon was the second. Then again, in the other performance i saw on youtube, Willie got bigger cheers than Kris which was quite annoying, i believe. In my opinion, Waylon is the greatest.

Mar 20, 2012 - I'd rather hear Glen sing, Kris is really an actor/songwriter he isn't the greatest singer in the world. Don't get me wrong Kris is ALOT better than the "singers" nowdays, but I think Glen is a better singer.

Apr 24, 2012 - Glen was a good substitute. Who else is glad that he got rid of that beard? He claimed in his autobiography that he helped the group with their arrangement. This was after Capitol wouldn't release his version as a single. They didn't think it was commercial enough. This led to him switching labels for awhile. It's very sad what's happened to him. Glen, we're still rooting for you. Don't give up! May this not be your goodbye yet.
