Dec 16, 2010 - Dear Shelley, I'm not aware of any studies that suggest chaga would be harmful to a pregnant mother or nursing child. However, this is one particular area of mycoremedy research that is lacking. If I were to use chaga during nursing, I would start with dilute and infrequent teas and pay very close attention to my body's reaction (and that of my child). This is an area where you need to feel comfortable. Use your intuition. Best wishes.

Dec 25, 2010 - I would suggest that you look up "free market environmentalism". I see a lot of similarities with your video here and the concepts put forth by the Mises Institute when they talk about environmentalism. Wlater Block is probably the best speaker on this subject. His comparison between the cow and the buffalo is very illuminating.

Feb 9, 2011 - @moegreen2 Drying chaga is relatively easy. I place it next to or above my woodstove on a shelf for a week or so to make sure it is dry enough to resist molding. A warm, low-humidity spot in the home will work fine. I then store it in a cool, dry place. Simmer the ground material for at least 45 minutes (longer is better) to make a potent decoction that has immune stimulating action.

Apr 9, 2011 - Amazing! Thank you, so very much for sharing this with all of us. I'm new to chaga and just ordered my first batch (in powdered form). I do have one question for you... Is there a preferred company, or name brand that you trust for superiority; for those of us who do not have the opportunity to harvest wild chaga? Thanks again :)

Apr 12, 2012 - Hello, do you have any information or experience on Phellinus robineae? I heard from somebody that Frank Cook said it was used as a medicine, but I haven't found any information on it.

Dec 13, 2010 - So glad you did this video, Aurthur. Clearsup alot of confusion and is so responsible for the use of and relationship with this incredible fungi. I collected small amounts of chaga but have not made a tea yet due to thinking it was not enough. Now I know these small peices I chipped off will be perfect to try as a tea. Do you know if it is okay to do while breastfeeding? Did other women traditionally drink this during this time? Blessings
