Apr 12, 2011 - The album was released on June 9th, 1983, so this interview is probably from around then.

May 14, 2011 - Franks talk show idea from 1968 is basically the same format Bill Maher used for Politically Incorrect and is now using for Real Time. Bill Maher isn't bad, but wouldn't it have been great to have Frank doing that show!
Deathshuck Says:
May 21, 2011 - Quickly, go on commercials! There appears to be somekind of furry animal sitting on top of Letterman's head!
JustADude171 Says:
May 26, 2011 - I think it tells a lot about Zappa that TV hosts would have him on just to chat.

May 27, 2011 - @Maxwellfig Your first sentence is an absolute gem!!!!!!. I thought people making comments on Youtube were dumbos..and then here you are. I've been sifting through the Frank Zappa uploads and realising how timeless he is. But you have managed to explain exactly what makes him so special. Unfortunately Letterman is completely of his time desperately seeking to make a comment thet gets a laugh without actually listening to what his guests say and completely unaware of the privilege of his position

May 30, 2011 - One might not like America or one might even hate it. But America has had men like Frank Zappa so it will remain the greatest country in history.
jackhorkheimer Says:
Jun 1, 2011 - there needs to be an equivalent of Godwin's law for Youtube comments. As more Youtube comments get put up, the probability of someone touting the superiority of one country to another, or one generation to another, or one genre to another, approaches one.
azzy314159 Says:
Jun 1, 2011 - How could my statement be equated to a reference to eugenics. I did not specifically claim that America was in that sense superior. I meant that - so long as- America has such men, it will remain the greatest... etc. etc. I was merely eulogising the the greatness of men like him.
jackhorkheimer Says:
Jun 1, 2011 - what, I never equated your statement to eugenics. I said there needs to be another law similar to Godwin's law. Godwin's law has nothing to do with eugenics anyways.I'm just chagrinned that people seem to always turn the comments section into something divisive--one country vs. another, one generation vs. another. Why not just appreciate the video instead of turning it into an argument about something else.

purvicide Says:
Jun 21, 2011 - Don't tell that to anyone on Broadway.
Sunderlanding Says:
Jun 26, 2011 - ...or one comment vs. another. You do realize you're doing the exact same thing?
jackhorkheimer Says:
Jun 29, 2011 - "exact same thing" is a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think? There's a difference between someone bringing an argument of the superiority of one country out of nowhere and someone critiquing that. There is some hypocrisy in me arguing for an ideal I haven't fully attained, hoping for better, but I don't think I was being divisive. I don't think azzy was trying to be either tho. What would you do, besides believe something different or be quiet?
Sunderlanding Says:
Jun 30, 2011 - I just think the comment boxes are there for people to say what they want. If that ends up being a vs b so what? It is true that this also includes your comment vs comment argument, but I can't help feeling you were comming accross as if you thought you were superior when you were basically doing the same thing.

Jul 6, 2011 - @toneshards Which L.s.o is overrated? The L.s.o that exists now or the L.s.o that existed then? He didnt say that they didnt play accurately-he said that they were unable to achieve perfection in the time given them. For the L.s.o playing chamber music-75percent is "accurate":Or is this a joke that's too clever for Me? Are You joking?
