Title: The Toyota Prius X Parlee Concept Bike
Added: Jul 25, 2011
Author: ToyotaUSA
Duration: 3:38
Description:
Toyota reached out to Parlee Cycles and Deeplocal to build an aero-road bike imbued with the same forward-thinking that went into the design of the Prius. Benefiting from a monocoque carbon-fiber frame, built-in smartphone dock, countless wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamic tweaks and its unprecedented mind-powered shifter, the PXP concept bike has emerged as a purpose-built machine that blends the simple with the complex to become a better and more efficient version of itself. Dec 4, 2011 - To the one who responded with childish and disrespectful commentary, I won't go where you're thinking the human brain is located. Your comments alone clearly demonstrates what a classless and uneducated problem to society you are. Thanks kindly to the virtual world and your IP address, good luck on your future job prospects. FYI: I did compete in road cycling, own many and have an appreciation for ALL types of bike designs. For the reply about the recumbent - they hold the world speed record.

Dec 4, 2011 - I enjoy having a stick shift car for the very reason that I have more control. Our hands are a great way of indicating to the bike that we want to shift
noodlenate Says:
Dec 5, 2011 - Yeah. I think that's because it's stable. It takes more effort to move your hand than it does to think "shift up"..or perhaps a different kind of effort. If you're able to apply to same "filters" to thinking as may be present in the process of moving a limb such as your hand, then maybe it can become a reliable, stable method of control.

Dec 10, 2011 - i HATE the prius...and this one reminds me (well duuh) of it...take shitloads of stuff, ship it around the world, put it in a bike and call it "good for the environment" blahand who would wanna shift with a phone? what happens if the screen lock and you are about to go up a hill?
foreverxundefined Says:
Dec 26, 2011 - its VERY innovative and I applaud the creativity behind it, much props. Buts its doesn't have much appeal to the average biker.
