Title: Johnny Cash-Folson Prison Blues
Added: May 11, 2007
Author: yousucks666
Duration: 2:55
Description:
I hear the train a comin'It's rolling round the bendAnd I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when,I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' onBut that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Antone..When I was just a baby my mama told me. Son,Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns. But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him dieWhen I hear that whistle blowing, I hang my head and cry..I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining carThey're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars.Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be freeBut those people keep a movin'And that's what tortures me...Well if they freed me from this prison,If that railroad train was mineI bet I'd move it on a little farther down the lineFar from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stayAnd I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away.....

May 23, 2012 - I can't stand ignorant people...I am a music producer. and I love all of the new music.., but Cash is fucking amazing...and bob Dylan and fucking Michael Jackson, and John Lennon and everyone else...people need to understand that music is artistically created by people and therefore, is beautiful...so if you don't like to listen to a certain kind of music, fine, that's your opinion. But until you can play Beethoven's fifth and sing like Freddy mercury then stfu and listen to the music

May 24, 2012 - Guys, guys. Why are you arguing? Just stop! Some people like JC and some don't. Just listen to the music, like it or dislike it, and leave! So simplistic!

May 25, 2012 - So according to the narrative he shot a man in Reno just to watch him die; is that why he is in Folsom Prison? If so, why isn't he in a Nevada prison? Maybe he is in Folsom Prison for something else and the authorities haven't caught up to him on the Reno case yet? I'm unclear on this.
someonespadre Says:
May 25, 2012 - Also, there is no "San Antone" near Folsom Prison which is a few miles east of Sacramento, CA.

May 23, 2012 - Beautiful lyrics, wonderful voice. Research Johnny on just what a wonderfully talented man he was. I'm only 43, and I still listen to the man in black daily. Gotta HEAR the lyrics! God Bless Mr. John Cash! One of THE BEST.
