Jan 19, 2012 - So this doesn't look like Besson's usual grl p0wer films. Still about a female hero, though no of the physical "asskicking" category. Although I wouldn't be surprised if she does start whiping the floor with a bunch of bad guys. It's Luc Besson, maybe he tries to fit Milla Jovavich in there somehow as some asskicking bodyguard, who knows. I'll still see it, looks great.

Feb 6, 2012 - I just think some of the parts should be well-researched. Maybe it's just me but some of the scenes just don't match with what I've heard. Like the part where General Aung San was shot, he was shot with a Tommy gun but in the film it's a pistol. And also the part where Aung San Su Kyi was being pointed with guns they were in a sort of deserted area but I heard that it happened in the city with a big crowd. I'm not sure but I'm just sharing what i know :) But it's a great film I'm glad!!

Apr 11, 2012 - This movie sucks. Always when they want to do a movie about a female leader they ALWAYS have to focus on her family and her relationship to husbands and children. Why? When they make movies about male leaders they choose to focus a lot more on the politics, not their family. I wish they would've done a movie about the leadership, ideas and politics of ''The Lady'', not her family life. It's so sexist to always focus on the family of women. As if their only purpose is to be good mothers.
