Growing up listening to very nerd bagpipes in the house I hated it.....Dad became a Celtic dancer, was buried in his kilt... I love this musical more than ever now. Aye laddies!

Feb 11, 2012 - The accents are Hollywood's version. As a Scotsman I can say, they are perfect for the times. A Glasgow accent of today would probably need subtitles for someone from the sunny climes of L.A."Aw ra best hen"

We are thinking of performing Brigadoon, and people (on Youtube) who are from Scotland, seem to explain how important it is to be accurate, if developing their accent, for stage, movies, etc. That is why I never try to sound like other cultures, because I would not want to cause offense. So, it sounds like you are saying, that Hollywood did this, to somewhat depict the accents, yet make it so people could understand them, Very wise, on your part

Feb 15, 2012 - These 5 minutes of film have influenced me, as a four year old girl who watched the film Brigadoon with her mum, like no other filmmaterial has ever influenced me before. I can't explain why, but when I was four there was nothing more inspirational as this was.Yay for Gene Kelly and fake Scotsman!

Mar 20, 2012 - My school actually did a play about Brigadoon; I thought that it was FANTASTIC! Even though they took out some of the scenes so it wouldn't be too long it was great! Thank goodness for the director of the original play!
