I can even map the buttons on the computer to reflect the xbox 360 controller.

Sep 24, 2011 - I think his point was to give an example of how a fairly weak device can run demanding software using a stronger computer. The future might be in perfecting net code in order to use a centralized source of computational power, rather than everybody having high end machines (like smart phones, tablets and laptops) in their pockets and bags. Kinda like how at the astronomy department of my university, they have a sick supercomputer on which very demanding simulations are run from standard PCs.

Oct 1, 2011 - wow.... and it even comes with slow down. Much better than, you know, actually buying the game and a wii :O

JonDeth Says:

Oct 9, 2011 - I think the hidden point here is this is how they adapt software for a different device. Monitoring how it behaves to the game likely produces data telling them how the emulator for it needs to be written.

Oct 9, 2011 - @snipethevash But that's the thing. That's not what Onlive is. Onlive is streaming from the internet, not another device.

Jan 3, 2012 - Nice proof of concept, unfortunately the game play is too slow, to be useful. But it still amazing that the game is running via emulation.

Mar 20, 2012 - You can use N64OID (Android Market, or Blackmarket for free) and play Nintendo 64 anywhere, using just your tablet. Can also do gameboy, playstation and others virtually lag free. Have been using it on my rooted Kindle Fire for a couple days now. Also simple to set up, all you needs your tablet.
