Jan 6, 2012 - Adjusting dates between the Julian calendar and the Gregorian calendar is so annoying when it comes to early 20th century Russian history :/

Jan 9, 2012 - @jeremiahjw A couple of weeks ago, before you posted this video, I watched several videos on the history of the calendar. Yours is better than any of the others.

DerKooze Says:

Jan 9, 2012 - Days of the week are now named from the Norse Pantheon.

Jan 15, 2012 - Thanks. I wasn't copying CGPGrey's style though, I was doing stuff like this before I knew about him. :-)

Jan 24, 2012 - Very informative =)

nyoke55 Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - A good try/start but some of your information is way wrong. For example, the current days of the week (as we know them) were not named after the Roman names of planets/gods, but rather based mostly off of Norse gods. If you are going to say that Tuesday is named after the god Mars, it might help to say that Tuesday in latin is "dies Martis". Do some research or at least make sure your information is presented more clearly. Also .25 does not equal 1/25.

Feb 10, 2012 - I must admit that I thought that about the Mayan prediction of 2012 being the end of the world being not a plausible idea. The Mayans would have had a different interpretation of dates and times.

Feb 12, 2012 - Really liked the video, learned a few things. I know you don't want to produce a 25 minute video, but it would really help the slower people such as myself if you didn't speak so quickly. great job!

MrNathion Says:

Mar 2, 2012 - NO!! xD

plusplusplusplusp Says:

Mar 3, 2012 - Yeah, and how can it possibly be changed? The Earth spins around 365 times in the time it takes to go round the sun. Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November. That's not that hard to remember and the calendar works.

allaboutmath Says:

Mar 3, 2012 - @plusplusplusplusp Why the current year is 2012 if the age of the Earth is 4.5+ billions years and the age of the universe is 13.7+ billions years? Why the calendar has BC AD... I know secular people replaced those with CE and BCE but still has references to religion because they start counting from 0 or 1 after the birth of the guy who christians claim to be some kind of special primate... Why in so many places people are still using different types of calendars just for their superstitions?

allaboutmath Says:

Mar 3, 2012 - @plusplusplusplusp The 365 days and number of months or their names make sense as they are right now but my objections are referring something else.
