TubularSoundSystem Says:
Feb 16, 2012 - it was actually the captain of the winning team that was sacrificed, not the whole losing team.

Mar 27, 2012 - did the Early Aztecs cause the collapse of the Ancient Mayas ?
mztamerica Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - no, because early aztecs came from north of mexico and mayan civilization was in south-east and central americathe aztecs did not even know about mayans in 1521, when aztec empire ended, thanks to spaniards =( they could had shared knowledgment, culture, language...
mrtreverhoffmeister Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - the winning team would get sacrificed sometimes ...
theend1245 Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - Reason i made that assumption was because i remember reading about the Bronze Age collapse of the Minoan/Mycenae Civilization with the Arrival of the Dorians who came from the north, so ya i thought there was coinciding history. But then what caused the Collapse of the Mayans, was it Natural Disasters ?
mztamerica Says:
Mar 30, 2012 - there are many hypothesis about mayan colapse. Most Historians believe that Toltecs conquered mayan empire between years 750-900

Jan 17, 2012 - The captain of the Winning team was sacrificed (decapitated) by the loosing team's captain, and the looser team had to try again the next day. this is was honor not a punishment.
