It's looked down upon by any legitimate Metal fan around.And Murderdolls is a Horror Punk band (and yes Horror Punk is a real genre, as stupid as it sounds).Just because the members of these bands dress obscure doesn't make anything they do "Gothic". Your knowledge behind that term is clearly flawed.But hey, congrats on making yourself sound like an unintelligent 12 year old having a temper tantrum.

Metal is my favourite music genre, though I also like nu-metal, rock and many other sub-genres, and even a bit of rap. Liking other music styles doesn't make me any less of a 'legitimate metal fan'.
