Apr 20, 2012 - you dont need the book to know that .... just watch the film ... you can tell Robbie Robertson is not singing much , if at all .... he is way off the mic ( assuming it was even plugged in ) ...and when he does look like he is singing , there is no difference in what you hear when he isnt " singing " .... having said that , what an incredible guitar player ... watch the Clapton part ... Robbie cuts him to pieces

Still, as pissed as Levon was at Robbie, together they made the most gorgeous and timeless Americana tunes we could ever hope to have. I never get tired of watching these clips on Youtube. Good on Robbie and Scorsese for not banning them. Glad also that Robbie finally tried to make some peace with Levon at the end. The three voices of The Band are back together now: Ricky, Richard and Levon. That's a bodacious Angel Band there!
