A catchy yet simple track off of John Mayer's "Bigger Than My Body - Single" that never really surfaced anywhere. For those of you who don't know, this is a Radiohead cover.

Apr 6, 2012 - This is not perfect music, perfect music is the original Kid A
RadioPivot Says:
Apr 6, 2012 - agreed. but don't underestimate this cover, he made justice to the song.
scapunk Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - I didn't "get" the song at first, but this cover really helped me sort out the melody and appeal of the original song. so yeah, I prefer the original now, but this version is also important to me for a different reason.
CherryBurstLesPaul Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - You guys should give Punch Brother's cover of Kid A a try. It's worth it.

Apr 9, 2012 - Their cover of Packt Like Sardines Into A Crushed Tin Can is amazing too.

Apr 17, 2012 - haha..that's was funny..haha funny joke
ShonoughIdo Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - You can't do that with this cover, it's too inherently informed by his douchiness and his self-obsession. I say that because he tried to cover Kid A in the first place, which is wildly ambitious being lenient and delusional being honest. And it turned out miserably---this is rhythmically flat, emotionally expressionless and generally posturing and lacks any of the subtlety, passion and otherworldly beauty of the Radiohead orig. He also completely mangles what should be the climax of the song...
MichaelMorraMusic Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - he recorded this when he was 19 you fucking doorknob
ShonoughIdo Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - Lol who gives a shit? All that does for me is explain why it's particularly shitty. And if you're going to argue that it makes it more impressive, listen to some Electromagnets. Eric Johnson was 17 on those recordings, and is playing guitar better than John Mayer could in his wildest coke-fueled fantasies
MichaelMorraMusic Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - i meant this a highly under representation of his talent. and what black tar meth are you smoking....johnys final career will over shadows erics hands down when that time comes.
ShonoughIdo Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - Lol black tar meth...Ok that's a fine point, I'll buy that it's an poor representation of his talent. But I still think everyone is a meatrider for freaking out about how good it is. Also, dude, you must not have listened to enough Eric Johnson. Because guitarists for the rest of TIME will be citing him as a primary influence. Just listen to any of his music seriously (particularly Electromagnets though, because it's just so unfairly good)
MichaelMorraMusic Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - yah i didn't enjoy this cover at all lol

Apr 26, 2012 - i think it's a really good cover, and an ambitious one at that

May 7, 2012 - Nah, Thom would just snub him.
JEONGILCHANG Says:
May 18, 2012 - Good
joytoy322 Says:
May 21, 2012 - Who are you trying to impress lol? It's a cover of the song, it doesn't have to be a perfect representation of what Thom Yorke wanted it to be. Because it's a cover. And there's not one on Youtube close to as good as this one is. I'm not even a fan of John Mayer but I have to give it to him that it's actually really good. When I cover songs I don't spend time thinking "I hope my audience finds the correct resemblance the author was trying to propose." I just have fun with it. I'm sure he did too
minhdiszles Says:
May 21, 2012 - lol I second that. But just ignore him. Obviously based on that last comment, he's just another anti-mayer
saldunlop Says:
May 26, 2012 - just the fact that john mayer covered this song amazes me...he cooler than i thought
doortolunatea Says:
May 29, 2012 - wtf is dis krap its not thom yorkenshire and the royal radioheads

SuperiFox Says:
Mar 30, 2012 - John even got the drumming rhythm right with the muted guitar strumming in the background. He made a good cover.
