So when you buy or download apps on your iPad you need to use that password to take any action. You need a credit card to set up an iTunes account, at least that's how you do it in the U.S., you don't use your back account.

After you've set up an iTunes account, you can use it any time you wish. If you download free apps then you don't pay anything, but if you download paid for apps, iTunes will put the bill in your iTunes account. You will need to enter the iTunes password for purchases.

Mar 7, 2012 - @dragnet53 the question really is what you can't do with it. There are actually apps that are for iPad and with an android, they are just blown up phone apps. There are plenty of ways around the blocked adobe flash, and it's becoming less and less of an issue anyway. I bought a galaxy tab 10.1 for myself in September and I received an iPad 2 in December, so I can talk about it with actual experience.
