When speaking you say "alot" not "a lot". Just like how when speaking we start sentences with the word "so". Both of which are incorrect in written form. Maybe you feel asleep during the lesson on not starting sentences with conjunctions. You also need to place an "an" in front of "interrogative", unfortunately the thesaurus doesn't tell you that.
