Sock Episode 2: Ptikobj. Second cartoon in the experimental SOCK series where I explore narratives that flow like dreams. Rather than making a point or portraying a story I tried to capture the sort of confusing, odd and sometimes comical thoughts that my mind will often present in front of me whilst I'm swimming through slumberland.

May 13, 2012 - I don't find these cartoons at all weird. They flow exactly like my dreams. Starting from 0:09, I've had many occurrences that people tell me a certain situation, and then I see a similar version of that situation being acted out and I'm like, "Oh, that's so interesting, since someone just told me about this earlier!" But the situation, when acted out, is much different than the one I'm told about, especially when I reflect upon it after waking.

May 13, 2012 - The part where he says, "You can't talk!" has also appeared a lot in my dreams, where something seems odd to me, and I'm say, "That's not right, you should be like this!" Then the thing I'm talking to changes, like the dog when he starts to bark instead of talking. I also have occasional dreams like the pestering tape man, where I put down the person pestering me about something. I usually wake up with happy, celebrating a small victory. It's ridiculous, but it makes me feel good.
