May 5, 2012 - Psh, I could do this......on Gran Turismo 5.

RBP129 Says:

May 7, 2012 - This dude can really hold down a ZR1, anyone else would be doing circles on those turns

FinlanderX Says:

May 9, 2012 - Fast car, not as fast as the GT-R tough. Interior is from the 90's. Good driver.

doctorshemp98 Says:

May 9, 2012 - they used a non stock tire. practically a racing compound. gtr is still faster anyway . i never trust nurburg. The times are too messed up and there is no fair way of knowing which car is faster when just taking nurburgring into consideration. that's why if i wanna see which car is faster around a track..... i watch top gear.

doctorshemp98 Says:

May 9, 2012 - Also the gtr was over a second faster until the long straight.

TiScorpio Says:

May 9, 2012 - Ok, so here's my question for fellow Forza 4 gamers: Why did turn 10 put the start/finish line on the big straightaway rather than where it's supposed to be? :-/

wrifraff Says:

May 10, 2012 - If this was actually a ZR1, why don't we hear the supercharger?

cody55443322111 Says:

May 11, 2012 - @wrifraffThe reason why is because the supercharger isn't loud enough to hear the only possible way you could hear it is if he accelerated slower so the engine wasn't as loud. But also look at the acceleration and you'll know it's there

thesulo12 Says:

May 12, 2012 - great car but your better off buying a gtr here in australia why because it costs $250,000 less ahahhahaahh wish they were cheaper :(

eDL713 Says:

May 12, 2012 - Im pretty sure he could have hit 200+ simply because the recent models of corvettes could do it. Im also sure theres a reason why he chose not to

donniemarks94 Says:

May 13, 2012 - But here in america the nissan gtr and corvette zr1 cost about the same so the hell wit the gtr if I had the money im buying the zr1 faster cooler and better looking

leroyrs Says:

May 14, 2012 - Right, and even if the GTR would be cheaper I would take the ZR1. BTWGreat job by the driver.

RochBolduc Says:

May 15, 2012 - Jim Mero balls are bigger than my head

LAPDGangUnit1 Says:

May 18, 2012 - why does this car top out @ 160 on the dash

leftynic Says:

May 18, 2012 - it doesn't. 220

mikldude Says:

May 19, 2012 - would`nt it be nice if all cars doing the ring had a standard practice session, let`s say 3 laps and one fast lap, keep factory tampering to a minimum, say a maximum of 30 minutes to check fluid levels, tyres, etc, the reason i say this different companies/teams brag about times, but if one car comes straight of the showroom floor and does a run, another brand with 10 suspension experts,3 guys to tune the motor & spends 3 days, in this scenario someone will have an advantage, not a true test.

mikldude Says:

May 19, 2012 - i love watching these clips of the ring , and this is a favorite, but imo you have to take them with a grain a salt so to speak as far as the times go, no doubt if we all had a team of engineers and tyre suspension guys working on the car, not to mention spending days at the ring we could knock 10 /20 seconds off the times(maybe), not saying this happened with the vette but every car has different preparation so it`s hard to compare.

Janusha Says:

May 20, 2012 - Oh the Corvette, Cadillac and Viper all had the benefits of closed track, full standing race crew setting the cars up speciffically for the track and LeMans race ready tyres. The only handful of pictures Ive seen of the ACTUAL car shows full rollcages that requires a full car rebuild to install. Which allows for further modifications. Their interiors are stripped out and replaced with Sparco Evo2 race gear. These Nurburgring runs are misleading mediastunts at best.

Janusha Says:

May 20, 2012 - Official Nurburgring "benchmark" days would be a ridiculous idea. Who would want to take part in it. The vast majority of cars are NOT sold on what lap times they can theoretically produce. If such events were arranged, they would be responsible for rules and safety. Which is why the Ring was closed in the first place. It just isnt safe. On average 1 person dies every month on public days. It is common for the track to be closed several times a day for cleanup, repair, and medical intervention.

1GNAX Says:

May 20, 2012 - Great driving. I always thought steering wheel in corvette was just for show, because it could only go straight, but this proves that it can also be used for driving.

fokdrednek01 Says:

May 23, 2012 - In AMerica we don't need gtrs, we only need a Ford POS Tempo and a beer!

03silvermustang Says:

May 24, 2012 - i dont understand this... i just watched a 2012 z06 do a 7:22.... whats up with that?

nlqphf7ybx Says:

May 27, 2012 - This is from '08. The 2012 ZR1 clocked-in at 7:19.63.
