May 1, 2012 - Frank is a politician, plain and simple. Clinton started the ball rolling for banks to lend to anyone, Bush took it and ran with it and Obama rehired everyone of the people responsible. Fact is, there WERE regulators in place to oversee and make recommendations, but they were ignored (See Brooksley Borne). Alan Greenspan said in the face of facts, that creditde fault swaps were not a problem. Frank can pass blame to one side of the aisle if he wants, but theres plenty of blame to go around.
