Car manufacturers are trying to find ways to increase mpg to reduce our carbon footprint, I understand that Ford is also trying to do that but using V8 Mustang just won't cut, not just using a smart car, I think it just depends on what someone prefers, I don't really prefer the smart car much, I rather have a nice BMW cause we all know European cars are the one of the best if not then the best luxury cars

May 27, 2012 - I'm not into luxury to be honest. Besides, on the highway I promise I get more than that thing. When I coast (which I do alot) and draft behind other cars I get up to 45 mpg. I also like having perfect safety ratings, I CAN crash at those speeds and be fine. One more thing, There were tests done and if a car like a Mustang follows a hybrid going top speed and as hard as it can to reach street speed limits or highway speeds the hybrid uses more gas than the big powerful car following it.

If they crashed and hit something stationary in that tiny thing at 70mph, which is the speed limit where I am, they'd most likely die or go through indescribable suffering before finally dying. I mean... my car isn't the safest, a 2000 Cirus... but I'll be damned if I ever set foot into one of those death traps!
