Apr 10, 2012 - Try to pay attention to light and shadow in the world around you. Observation as well as lots of experimenting helped me learn. It also helps to observe other art and study whatever you are having trouble with. Perhaps find a simple lesson about value. Practice shading simple shapes such as a sphere or still life. i did that in Art 1 and it really helped me. Good luck and just enjoy it. No rush :)
