Jul 26, 2009 - hes not just reading the material, hes imitating the guy who wrote it... no ones really laughing at the content of the book, because if we read it we wouldnt crack up like that. but its his imitation and the way he presents the book that makes the humor come alive. Granted its not the most 100% original segment in the world. Hey, its your opinion, i shouldnt be debating it, and people shouldnt thumbs down you for stating an opinion.

Jul 27, 2009 - Well, I don't dislike David Cross. Some of his stuff on Mr. Show is the best Sketch Comedy I've ever seen. And I'm certainly not claiming that I could be a better stand up comedian. But then again, I don't try, and if I did, I would know I would fall somewhere on a scale of quality for stand-up comics. Cross has a talent for humor, but not all kinds of humor make for good stand-up. To me, good stand-up means original content written by the performer.
