May 2, 2012 - I'm not pissed off at all to be honest. I think your pretty pathetic and need to get a life. Maybe you should go back to war slaughter a 'terrorist' and piss on his body. You'll probably get a medal for it when you home too.

EasyNowSon Says:

May 2, 2012 - I won't back out on this, I simply can't, I need this and I won't stop for nothing. I have a decent career job, but that won't stop me - Jobs are available again in life, this just means I can save more. I will be purchasing my camera and hiking gear throughout this year.

EasyNowSon Says:

May 2, 2012 - Your all hyped up there mate, just relax - I just want to go on a hike into the world, to feel free from rent, bills and tax. Live freely for a while - I don't want to be this guy, I live in England for Christ sake, relax man. Shit.

brianslotemaker Says:

May 3, 2012 - Why don't you do it now? You can still do it. You're never to old. Remember that old man in the movie? He was told the same. What is stopping you?

brianslotemaker Says:

May 3, 2012 - You are just brainwashed by this way of thinking man. Maybe in the army. That's okey, because appearently it is okey to you. Have fun in your own way.But I'm just going to do this. Just because want to. And have to.

Anfy Macka Says:

May 4, 2012 - I respect Christopher. He learned more about life in 22 years than most of us will in a lifetime. He found his calling and didnt give a fuck about what other people thought. Yeah he made mistakes, but we all do...don't judge him on that. Judge him on his courage and strength.

compendium3dreams Says:

May 5, 2012 - Okay dumbass. Learn proper grammar. "Hadn't had"? Really? And our countrymen are not fighting for anything. They're trying to delay what the government has gotten into and what our governments actions have causes due to the us government not being able to mind they're own business and wanting to capitalize everything. There's no such thing as freedom our so called "countrymen" are fighting for. Our free will that we are supposes to be born with are taken before we're even put of the womb.

compendium3dreams Says:

May 6, 2012 - Our soldiers now a days are ignorant and belligerent. Always expecting everyone to respect them for being in boot camp. They do nothing but expect and take advantage and have no respect for shit. Lousy drunks and immature men. Go back to your life of blindness.

SuperKarmakaze Says:

May 7, 2012 - I feel bad for you. Isn't being so hateful a waste of energy?

lassewernblad Says:

May 8, 2012 - you are an idiot...really.. no respect! your words could be spoken by a 5-year old! someone who simply doesnt understand life and understands life

23rockon Says:

May 8, 2012 - This song was written by Gordon Peterson who was the band Indio. This should show up in the suggested videos box? Thanks Eddie for an inspired version. Peace and love to people who look for it.

May 11, 2012 - One day. Any old day. A brand new day. Maybe tomorrow. I swear to God, I'm going to drive past exit 19; and, and, and, and I'm going to drive until I run out of money. Then, then, then, THEN, I will be In a Hard Sun and free.RIP Chris McCandless

MeBeYoshii Says:

May 11, 2012 - You don't necessarily have to be strong, but to feel strong, Alexander Supertramp RIP

gawfboy Says:

May 14, 2012 - Cool video. I traveled to the bus with Chris's parents, Wayne Westerberg, and Jan Burres back in March 2011 to celebrate the completion of the book, "Back To The Wild". Check out my video of our adventure and let me know what you think. Thanks!

0ekulluke0 Says:

May 14, 2012 - good luck dude, i plan on doing the same :)

ultimatebro17 Says:

May 14, 2012 - I think Chris is absolutely correct in saying that the wild is where people can find out who they really are, and the freedom of man is definitely restricted in society. But no, you don't really need to do what he did to enjoy life. However, I think that MOST people would find that the feeling of being unsure of exactly what's going to happen, and going away from things that restrict you could be the greatest way to live life.just do what you feel is right FOR YOU, AND LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!

TheTheMV Says:

May 17, 2012 - I disagree here. He didn't JUST die, he had been living the life he wanted to. He was unsatisfied about life, and decided to do something about it. And yes, I think we can call that courage. Many people are living their lives, know they're not satisfied, but still won't change their way of living. Chris however, fulfilled his desires, and apparently inspired people to fulfill theirs as well. "You ever want something in Life? Reach out and grab it!"; I am certain he grabbed it. Do you grab it?

theenaturechild01 Says:

May 19, 2012 - this chris guy sure remind's me of myself we did a lot of the same thing's and agree on a lot of life's view's. when people told me about the movie i did'nt belive them until i watched it. i have a lot of respect for this guy and what he did thank you chris for leading the way. the bush was the best 5 months of my life and the hitchhiking never get's old rest in peace buddy.
