Canadian oil sands & Gulf of Mexico production will be concentrated into the Mississippi Basin where massive new refinement & by-products manufacturing (ie:plastics) will be built. America hasn't built a new distillate refinery since 1978 & is currently very dependent on other countries for supply. But the toxic chemical outfall that Dr. Gupta talks about on CNN would only worsen.

Feb 2, 2011 - BP aint foreign, it merged with amoco(standard oil), the highest percentage of shares are US, its largest HQ is in Texas, BP drills US oil for US consumption so it really isnt foreign.the only British about BP is its London HQ and British CEO but he's now been replaced by an American.The major shareholders are US and British. We own nothing anymore, its all been bought out and gone abroad, thats why our once great nation is now a shit hole.We pay $2.10 per litre of petrol, mostly tax.
