Since action is faster than reaction you are trying to be faster than his reaction to what you are doing. Remember Bas's first move was to get his body out of the line of fire. Jan 19, 2011 - That is why Bas wants you to instinctively follow with strikes. If he shoots while your holding the gun, most importantly, he misses you. You need from here on to close the distance and strike. This will put the shooter in a position he is most likely not comfortable with giving you a chance to survive. In real life though, I recommend you give him your wallet. These techniques aren't 100% for anyone. Only use in a life or death situation.

Feb 25, 2011 - @4z4r3th It's still very useful to know how to defend yourself. Some criminals don't only want money. They want to harm or kill you. Always offer your wallet if someone pulls a weapon on you. If they still want to harm you, than try a technique like this.
