These men aren't random sluggers or street fihgters who are just thrown in the ring, they are professionals. The refs, coaches, judges & trainers are all professionals. UFC was BARBARIC but that was in the early years, the rules now have developed and actually now have solid rules to make the sport much more clean, safe and professional from its earlier years.

But I am a huge MMA fan & I must say with the rules and regulations that go threw UFC it is not barbaric nor human cock fighting. Fighters are treated with respect & know what they sign up for. There are not that many good body punchers in boxing. Boxing sucks, I know because I've wasted a lot of money on PPVs, watching really crappy undercard fights and sometimes really crappy main events.
