I'm not an American, so I can't really make use of this, though I'm sure my own country, in Europe, is in similar terms to the US, though here it'll be from the old feudal codes.The problem with things is this: the People, to be so, have to be serious, responsible individuals, who subject themselves to God's Law and to His guidance. Without that, people are turned into futile children who abdicate property and mutual respect for the kindergarten dynamic (i.e. totalitarianism, socialism), and trade the true pursuit of happiness for narcissism. You can't have an adult Republic with petty children. And that's what we have today, all over the western world.So, in a sense, a priority here is to demand people to..grow up. As sad as it may be.

Cain has to build earthly dominion and, since his own hands can get nothing from the land, he has to manipulate others to work for him, in a facilitated social structure (him being the first builder of cities).You can't kill him (and you should never recur to that, and fight fire with fire, anyway), but "he" does need our cooperation. So, that's a basic key here.Both in society and in ourselves -- we all have some Cain inside.
