Jun 18, 2011 - Dude, it's not bass, the model of the guitar usually has nothing do with tapping, make sure that your guitar has good strings, that it setted up properly and also tweak your trebles and amp for tapping if needed.If all that doesn't work, the suckishness of your guitar is a possibillity.

Iron Maiden was considered heavy metal by the standards of the music of their time, however over the years heavy metal has gotten "heavier" so to speak, and by todays standards they're closer to a crossover between regular metal and power metal.Bands such as Hammerfall has learned many of the basic "rules" of power metal from Iron Maiden. They would never be considered Hard Rock though.

Oct 27, 2011 - it despends, personally i find playing bass with a pick easier than metal rythm guitar even but playing full throttle finger style is far harder than standard metal rythm guitar. I am a far better guitarist than i am bass player but considering there is hardly ever soloing in METAL bass than its probably fair to say that playing bass in a metal band is generally easier than playing lead guitar in a metal band
