Apr 27, 2010 - sushi refers to fish, not rice! sushi = fresh, and it refers to the fish being raw and fresh (and sometimes still alive!!).

May 2, 2010 - Actually it's sashimi that refers to fish. Sushi is rice. I maybe third generation but I'm pretty sure my first generation grandma knew the difference.
