Firstly the "monarchy" is not English, secondly regardless of the position of the monarch Scotland is not and never has been part of England. Both Scotland and England are part of Great Britain and the UK. The UK head of state (along with a number of other countries e.g. Australia and Canada) is Queen Elizabeth. Oh and "Scotland" is not "working quite hard for independence" current polls suggest that the Scots will vote against it.

May 23, 2012 - No again, jess26500 is correct. Australia is not "part of England" because it is independent of the UK, it has never been part of England, neither has Scotland. England, Scotland and Australia share the same head of state but only England is English.
