Im not saying shes bad, she has a great talent, but 1- I hate blues 2- American Idol is for singers who want to be topping the charts in THIS century and 3- every damn song she sang had a guitar and an organ in the background with her yelling. I hope she makes it big but I know the highest shel go is hick music. Gosh that whole season was horrible. But I actually met her and she is the nicest person ever.

Idol may have been intended for something; but, it's turned into something else whether any of us like it or not. I really don't care what kind of music You like. Bowersox may not be topping the charts yet; but, that doesn't happen overnight usually. Doing good things takes time. Billy joel was playin for quite a while before he got noticed and a bit longer yet before he had a chart topping hit. So I don't know where your expectations are coming from; but, they need introduced to reality.

Somebody, Anybody, who has an incredible voice, can sell more hits than the previous winner and someone that IS about the music out today.
