Jul 8, 2010 - Although I felt sorry for Martin in the Fly 2, I really could shed a tear for his father Seth from part 1. At least Martin had Beth to console him during his transformation. Seth was completly alone in his ordeal. And Seth's changes were more prolonged & exaggerated. Martin quickly formed a cocoon in the sequel, & at least he cured himself & ended up w/ Beth. Seth & Ronnie's love affair ended way too tragic.

If you're wondering about that part and if you've seen the 2005 edition of The Fly, there was a deleted scene in script format where a baglady was attacked by Brundle and had her face melted off, therefore resulting in her death.

Jul 27, 2010 - Martin's final form wasn't even that bad compared to his Fathers. Brundlefly was a pathetic mess of human and fly, while Martinfly was a more well "structured" monster. I feel sorry for Bartok at the end, Martinfly was nothing compared to him.

Dec 25, 2010 - The Fly 2 (1989) was very good movie and I don't understand why so many people hate it. Visual effects were ok and the storyline was smart and interesting. And this movie was scarier than original. Eric Stoltz and Daphne Zuniga were impressive. In some scenes the music reminded me the one from Alien series
