Oct 13, 2009 - I've been a big fan of Carolyn Myss for several of her books, but I don't know where she's going with this. The reason for the thinking person's "love affair with reason" over the last few centuries? It innoculates us from the hypocrisy, cruelty, and tyranny of religion and classism. You can be spiritual without dissing reason. Be "in the world but not of the world".

Nov 23, 2009 - I love how she is such a historian and includes that in the spiritual journey. I also love and study history, though i never studied it in college. I read history everyday, and yet it is not complete or even understood without the mystical component--which is what it is all about anyway.
