Duration: 39:14
Description:
Please note: This is a full uncut version of the video primarily intended for research purposes. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rXPrfnU3G0 for a short and concise version with added context.----Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad. They are apparently assumed to be insurgents. After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well. The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. Wikileaks released this video with transcripts and a package of supporting documents on April 5th 2010 on http://collateralmurder.com

Feb 7, 2012 - @lasoogneypubes Proof? It's called common sense for someone who knows weapons, unlike you. Wheres the proof he can hit the apache? LOL. Retard. Was he? Sorry but he did not.how about the ambulance? and the unarmed people? Does one RPG make up for the civvie kills? And that's not a RPG.
goldendog53 Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - ok people really its fking done and over with god so what about proof no way to change it now, so what the comments are just spam over and over again grow up people really.
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - @r4f4st4n1 Yes it was an RPG. If you think that's a camera then you're an idiot. It's clearly a cylinder shape as you can see the light shining off of it in a way that shows it's clearly rounded. Cameras are square, not round. Again you have no proof that he couldn't hit the helicopter from that distance so everything you say is baseless until you give me proof. Sorry. If he were a camera man then why was he peaking around a corner with it? Why not make it obvious it's a camera?
TheMuffdivr Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - Yeah, did you notice how he fired at the chopper too you moron !
deekante Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - @lasoogneypubes Regardless of whether they had an RPG, shooting at the survivors when they pose no threat to anyone and are simply writhing in agony is disgusting. And blindly shooting at a van carrying children is just fucked up.
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - @TheMuffdivr He did? What time in the video was it?
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - @deekante You weren't there either. All we have to see is a black and white video. There were several guys there and none of them said it was just a camera. I do agree that they shouldn't have shot the van because it didn't seem to pose any threat but they didn't know there were kids inside. They really shouldn't have brought their kids.. Jesus what a stupid idea! I agree with how they handled the first situation, but they should have left the van and the wounded alone. I agree with you there.

Feb 9, 2012 - @Rstegs Haha Curly headed fat FUCK. if only it was 150 years ago then you would be blistering your fingers in the cotton fields and not on the keyboard.

Feb 9, 2012 - "oh, yeah, look at those dead bastards". Hijo de la grandisima puta
ThexXxMatthewxX Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @lasoogneypubes Lol you think he was hiding it from the chopper ? They weren't even in battle if your soldiers call it battle "They weren't supposed to bring children to battle" lol, that wasn't even a battle to call it one. The van came there to help even if they had children they didn't know how can your soldiers be so sauvage ...
ThexXxMatthewxX Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @goldendog53 Yea C'mon let's just forget about this, and let the responsibles get away with it shall we ? Well sir sorry to say this but you're an ignorant and fuck you, thank you very much.
goldendog53 Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX me? since if you are your a fking hippy
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX Uhh 12 people just got gunned down by a helicopter and it's reasonable to bring your kids in your van to pick up the wounded? Yeah.. great idea. They had no idea who was in the van. And yeah, he was peeking around the corner with the RPG trying to get a good shot. So fucking obvious just watch the video. I already said I didn't agree with the actions they took against the van you dumb fuck. Did you even read my comment? Jesus..
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX The smart thing would have been to make the children get out too so the helicopter could clearly see that there were children. I bet it would have saved their lives. They probably wouldn't have shot at the van if they knew there were children.
ThexXxMatthewxX Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @lasoogneypubes Lol dude c'mon no need to start insulting here and get crazy. I missed the RPG one, and as you said the child part would have saved their life.Let me work on your system, there was another option, if the chopper didn't show up too, the guy wouldn't have to use his RPG even if he didn't.Still go read the RoE in Iraq, they violated it. Colateral murders 9 armed 2 .. a successful mission ? Hell no.
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX Sorry I just keep getting comments from people who don't see the RPG or think it's a camera and it's starting to annoy me. Well of course the guy wouldn't use the RPG if the chopper wasn't there. That's pretty much what RPG's are for, to take down enemy vehicles. The OTHER OTHER option would be for those guys to NOT bring their weapons (especially an RPG) around when there's an AMERICAN APACHE HELICOPTER flying overhead. What did they expect? They guaranteed their own death.
ThexXxMatthewxX Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @lasoogneypubes Yea but they didn't know there was an Apache there waiting to slaughter them. The pilots were just trigger happy and were waiting for clearance to kill them. Is it some kind of law that grants the USA military to kill armed people in other countries just like that ?
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX What? They obviously knew there was an Apache Helicopter right there. He was pointing his RPG at it.. And I don't know about you but it's almost impossible to be stealthy in a helicopter.. It's a war. A war against soldiers in civillian clothes, so you have to assume anyone with an AK-47 and an RPG that's either not American or Iraqi police isn't on your side. Should they have waited until their helicopter was shot at? And what were they doing walking around with AK's and an RPG
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 10, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX in the first place? If you're part of a war and you see your enemy with the capability to take you out (AK's and an RPG would work just fine against a Heli) then you have to assume that they're going to use it on you. You can't wait until after the fact. These insurgents should have known better. If you're going to walk around with an RPG and AK-47's when there's an enemy helicopter overhead, then expect to die. That's war.
ForesightInvestment Says:
Feb 11, 2012 - 33 min... what a newb lol
ThexXxMatthewxX Says:
Feb 11, 2012 - @lasoogneypubes Lol you're making your troops sound like if they're the one defending themselfs, let me remind you that they're the ennemy that forced himself in that war and came into a country which isn't his at the first place and started shooting the people they decided to class as "ennemy" or "insurgent". The chopper isn't supposed to be there at the first place. Ohhh wait .. let me finnish this conversation nicely, bush did it for personal reasons, period.
jwetzel07 Says:
Feb 11, 2012 - so two ak's and one rpg, and you manage to build that up to "eight guys with ak-47's and RPG's"
lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 11, 2012 - @ThexXxMatthewxX I definitely don't and never have ever supported these wars. I don't think we should have ever gone into Iraq. I'm just telling you the reality of war. Whether or not they're fighting the good fight, they reacted honestly in a threatening situation. Don't want to get shot? Don't point an RPG at a helicopter. The insurgents weren't American or Iraqi police so they weren't on the American's side. If you see your enemy with the means to kill you do you let them shoot you first?

lasoogneypubes Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @r4f4st4n1 Again, where is your proof that an RPG couldn't hit a helicopter from that distance? He DID aim it at the helicopter! It was pointing right at it are you blind?
