Although, all musicians agree on the fact that it is possible to compare the music quality level of two pieces/genres of music on a set of criterias like rhythm and harmonic complexity, chords and mixings. It leads to the point that in a general way jazz, contemporal, classical and alternative rock music are way better than metal, rap and all kinds of electro music.

But I disagree with you about this song and I feel that in this case you are precisely stuck with your feelings about the movie and the composer : this song is good but clearly not so original, neither eccentric, avant-gardist or complex, and can't be qualified best soundtrack ever in any way.
