May 20, 2012 - People who created their wealth by innovating and building up companies created lots of jobs. People who get wealthy through their contacts with politicians or regulators are just a burden on everyone else. Its very important to differentiate between the two.

May 23, 2012 - You HAD to be able to use the levers of political power to make it possible for activities to happen BEFORE jobs, resources, & wealth can be *created.*That's one thing.The second & more difficult fact for the average people to understand is: NO one person or company creates jobs or wealth. Individuals & companies MERELY accumulate resources/wealth CREATED by millions of ant-like workers. And SOME individuals/companies are exceptionally good at SIPHONING OFF exceptionally large portions.

Like the big city taxi companies, who make their wealth by using government to restrict competition, and Microsoft, who before they were sued for anti-trust violations, became the dominant OS manufacturer while spending $0 on lobbying.
