Sep 22, 2011 - OK! AWESOME!! can we chain them? meaning to each other via USB? Seams like a big USB hub is needed for a setup of 9 PLUS my Dongles - iLok - Interface - CC121 - external drive - Keyboard controller, :( My Rain computer has 6 USB+mouse and keyboard but my Laptop only 3 USB..Which USB hub you recommend Steinberg?
djzilchdotcom Says:
Sep 23, 2011 - okay so my desktop inac is fine, but macbook pros only have two usb slots - one for the e-licenser and one for the audio interface, perhaps it would be wise to implement some sort of hub with this to hook the CMC series together?

Sep 30, 2011 - Very cool devices, I commend Steinberg for designing controllers in the mist of all the iPad controller apps that are out there. I use TouchOSC righ now on my iPad to control Cubase. The big advantage of this is I can design whatever button, knob or fader configuration I wish. The down side is that it is still a touch screen and not a controller with real motorized fader, knobs and buttons. There is something about using real buttons, faders or knobs that I like. Maybe I am too old school.

Oct 12, 2011 - Yeah it would be great with live. I'm not feeling very hopeful though. There hasn't been the slightest mention of any DAW other than Cubase in all the youtube reviews of this thing

Jan 22, 2012 - I have a CC121. I wish it would work with other versions of Cubase besides just the AI versions. And the AI version it comes with is a limited version like an LE from what I can tell. Mine came with AI 4 and I would REALLY like to have the AI 5 version with pitch correct built in. And it isn't easy getting an answer from Yamaha with a simple phone call. You have to dig through mountains of forums on the steinberg site.

Jan 23, 2012 - Hi there, the CC121 does work with other Cubase versions! It works with all Cubase 4.5, 5 and 6 versions.

Mar 4, 2012 - I'm guessing no because they look like dedicated cubase controllers but I'm sure there would be a way to edit some script for them to work. I'd rather wait til ableton comes up with their own though.

Sep 22, 2011 - Very interesting. Can these be used with other DAWs? If so, I might use it for Ableton Live.
