May 22, 2012 - Cinematography is top notch...movie was...Meh. I watch lots of art movies and this movie just didn't do anything for me. It felt too self aware that it was an art movie. Like it was saying "I'M SO DEEP! DECODE ME!" While truly great art movies don't have to be traditional narratives, but I never feel the director is demanding me to praise him or screaming "ISN'T THIS DEEP?!" ...also I just didn't like the characters in this movie...At all

May 23, 2012 - This astonishing movie has every right to say "I'm deep"...That is to say, "I'm deeply IN LOVE with silent films, silent comedies and great masters of slapstick." I am a huge Buster Keaton fan, and the feeling I got from this movie was overwhelming. No other movies have ever captured the beautiful insanity of silent slapstick like this.

You simply because you don't get movies like this!" I understand perfectly why people like The Fall and its fine that they like it. It just isn't for me

May 23, 2012 - Transformers is 100% fantasy, The Fall isn't 100% fantasy nor 100% art, so it's hard to please some people. But I find it hilarious when there's actually people compare this to arthouse films and brag about Fellini, Jabberowski (whatever it spells) and shit, and call those who like this movie "pretentious"...LOL.

May 23, 2012 - I'm not here to preach on what "real art" is I'm just here to say that The Fall simply wasn't one that personally touched me on any level. I'm not here to try and insult those who like it, because for them clearly it works. I've watched The Fall twice: once blind and the second after digesting the first view. It still simply didn't do it for me. If you like it no offense intended. I know I love plenty of films that others hate.

May 28, 2012 - I actually didn't take The Fall as screaming "I'M A DEEP ART MOVIE" at all. Obviously yes, it's pretty intense to look at with the production design, colors, and extravagant costuming, but I thought overall it was just good storytelling. The Fall employed both conventional and unconventional means of filmmaking, but I didn't see that as leading the audience on so that only the "artistic" film lovers would really "get it". To me; it was simply a great story executed in a diverse way.
