May 30, 2011 - you must not be synchronising the timing right with your hands, you are maybe plucking the string a fraction too soon, try to get your left hand faster and perhaps keep your right hand at the same pace, getting both hands synchronised is half the battle, hope this helps =]

Jul 6, 2011 - hey man, im just wondering, if the 3 string sweeps are "advanced". then what level does that put the 5 and 6 string ones on?
Ic9us Says:
Jul 17, 2011 - I am planning on putting a protrack in my ibanez in the middle... Can I expect a continued blues sound in the middle? Do you like the protrack?

Aug 4, 2011 - if you can do 3 strings then you can do more with little practice since you got the three thats pretty much it. just finish your scale. but to answer your question i think i depends on the person but they would all be advanced

Sep 30, 2011 - Great lesson. Too bad Malmsteen is a royal jerk. Not to take away from your lesson, which was superb. But anyone who arrogantly disregards Jimi Hendrix is a conceited fool

vplman2011 Says:
Oct 12, 2011 - maybe your also muting some strings a little with your picking/strumming hand? My G strings rings out some and I accidentally pull off that string when going for the stretch. Do you know what I'm saying. Thanks for helping me add to my playing.
GuitarLessons365 Says:
Oct 12, 2011 - Oh yeah, definitely. You have to mute the unwanted strings with the back of your picking hand palm. Also the strings that are being picked are slightly muted with the picking hand to give them a punchier sound and make them easier to control. When you hear Yngwie do this technique all the notes he is playing are slightly muted to make them pop out more.

Jan 2, 2012 - I find the turn around point hard from picking up to down, so up untl now I did three upstrokes and 2 down, if you get what I mean. Is this a problem?
Wookiewithacookie1 Says:
Jan 18, 2012 - thank you for breaking it down! you rock. now i can play like yngwie
Mrmattbonn Says:
Feb 19, 2012 - You must have big hands. I find the 7 to 12 stretch to be difficult.
Dreamdancer11 Says:
May 25, 2012 - Where did you see he disregards Hendrix mate?He just said he had no musical impact on him...not that he doesnt respect the guy....i too respect alot of jazz guitarists for their skills but musically they have no impact on me whatsoever...as for the conceited fool...he is one of the few who has every right to be conceited.he created a whole genre and style of playing almost by himself. You know many guitarists that did that?

qwertyuiop46853 Says:
May 4, 2011 - Your right hand palm is crucial when sweep-picking, what I mean is place your palm on the notes as you progress through the arpeggio, as opposed to palm muting everything...This is hard to explain, I hope you understood ._.
