Jan 21, 2011 - I agree to a point that zappa did contradict many a things in his life but so was his style of music.The man was a true secular progressive aberrated subversive genius who was stellar at arranging songs and themes and had a marvelous talent for avent garde style 20th century music. But again,a man of this IQ and genius ,should have had a little more intelligence to at least get himself checked out by more doctors sooner when he complained of urinary infections!

Jun 3, 2011 - This is a great interview. I have to say that when I saw the Zappa Plays Zappa show in Brisbane a few years ago, it was in-your-face the whole time without any light and shade whatsoever. Frank would never do that.

Apr 29, 2012 - The statement of "original drummer" doesn't make any sense to me, Frank's band was ever evolving and went through different stages, and included the addition of many musicians. other "original" drummers include: Jimmy Carl Black, Billy Mundi, Art Tripp, Aynsley Dunbar, Ed Greene, Aldo Romano, Jim Gordon, Ralph Humphrey, Chester Thompson, Vinnie Colaiuta, David Logeman and Chad Wackerman, Terry Bozzio was also in this list, and just happened to be in the 75-78 line up!
