Oct 13, 2010 - Eliz did that thread needle pose flawlessly. At 54, I m glad I still could follow her though sluggish & painful. After a set of left & right, I feel my back pressure so much relieved. Definitely helps lots. Thanks Liz.

Oct 8, 2011 - I can't get that much stretch. My leg (not the one with the ankle across the thigh) will only go about 90 degrees, to where the knee points straight up at the ceiling. Will it get more flexible with time?

Oct 18, 2011 - yoga goddess!
bohemianspiritmn Says:
Nov 7, 2011 - - Yes. I learned this pose as a hip opener rather than as a lower back stretch, and you should feel the muscles along your hip and thigh stretching as you do it.
bohemianspiritmn Says:
Nov 7, 2011 - If you can't reach around to clasp your hands in front of your shin, clasp them around the back of your thigh instead and just fold your lower leg in as much as you can while pulling the thigh in towards your body. That's what I do, and it still works to stretch the muscles just fine.
