Jul 31, 2011 - at 1:06. Can you upload the part of the vid about that Toyota 4Runner he is standing in front of if you have it. Or send me the file? Nice car in the vid, I want one to do autocross runs with.

Jul 31, 2011 - it is a great car as well, but believe it or not, the '89 SHO is considered the fastest of them all (and put up faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile times than every SHO other than the newest ones)
Richierich1285 Says:
Aug 1, 2011 - yeah but they were just but ugly an they still dont seam as fast as the 93 to 95 model years
tqdvorak Says:
Aug 1, 2011 - yeah, they werent as good looking, but they were faster. i love both gens!
Richierich1285 Says:
Aug 2, 2011 - yeah i dont think the new sho will be as good as any of the old ones
Richierich1285 Says:
Aug 2, 2011 - yeah your talking about a 30,000 dallor car back then compared to a 15,000 dollar sho at corse the amg is gonna be the better car
rriggi129 Says:
Aug 2, 2011 - Oh well? AMG Hammer cost 185,000 back in 1987, not 30,000
91Taurus Says:
Aug 3, 2011 - The 4Runner wasn't in the episode, so I don't have video of it
Motorfordtoyota Says:
Aug 3, 2011 - That was defiately a 4runner or Truck that he was standing in front of when he was talking about the Taurus. Oh well

Nov 2, 2011 - A nice very car! Unfortunately the engine was NOT built by Ford unlike it's competitor the Dodge Spirit R/T which was faster and had a Mopar engine with only a Lotus designed head. Go Mopar! A Japanese engine in an American muscle sedan - an ignominy is what it is - an ignominy!!
MThomas92 Says:
Nov 11, 2011 - you can convert it to manual, its been done
MTXSHO9732vV8SHO Says:
Nov 13, 2011 - Yeah... I know Thomas92.My point for saying that is that almost every auto manufacturer eventually relents to public opinion and put a whole bunch of BS on cars for people that are "non-car people". Unfortunately, non-car people buy the overwhelming majority of new cars. Now, something like 60% of new cars are bought by women. That should be real interesting.. I'll defer to Adam Corolla's last book on this subject because it fits right in. Peace.

ClassicTVMan1981X Says:
Mar 4, 2012 - Does anyone else believe that this particular Taurus is "the raging bull"? Or would that honor go to the 1997-99 generation with the 3.4L DOHC V8 engine?
ClassicTVMan1981X Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - I wonder how this car would have compared to the 1984-85 Ford LTD LX 5.0?

Apr 14, 2012 - I've only owned GM cars but I have a soft spot for these old Tauruses. My mom had a '91. I learned to drive in it and it is one of the best handling cars I've ever driven...and it is a WAGON!! We should have put the Yamaha engine in it...talk about a sleeper lol. Thanks for posting.

Apr 26, 2012 - I bought an '89 SHO in 2005 for $1000. It was an amazing car to drive. The red line on the odometer was tiny; in second gear I could run it up to 7500 rpm and be close to 60 mph before shifting into 3rd. It looked like a crappy old Taurus with a body kit, but it really hauled ass. The seats in it were comfortable with big bolsters on the side that held you in the seat when driving like a lunatic. It was my first sedan with a 5 speed manual, which made it extra fun. It had a keypad on the doo

May 13, 2012 - Would make a nice engine upgrade for the V6 manual contours! I wonder if that big intake would fit under the contour hood.
