JohnnyCashSongs Says:
Feb 17, 2012 - It's a possibility that they wanted to simulate what it was like in 1955 and there was no colour then obviously. I'm not entirely sure but I believe that this is the case. There was definitely coloured televisions back in '94 so this must have been intentionally for the aforementioned purpose.

Spyflugan91 Says:
May 13, 2012 - Is this during the time Marshall Grant was fired from the band? (I heard that Cash fired him?) Why I am wondering is because Johnny here talks about the times back in the '50s and says "...so it was Bob Wootton on lead guitar and Dave Rowan (?) upright bass. Here's us in 1955". It was actually Luther Perkins on lead guitar and Marshall Grant on upright base back then - the original Tennesse Two. Bob Wootton was the one to play the lead guitar AFTER Luther Perkins died in 1968...
uglymoon78 Says:
May 19, 2012 - No, Marshal was fired already in 1980. He just said it to give the audience an idea of how they sounded back then, you know...
billykulpa Says:

Katie Doyle Says:
May 22, 2012 - That's close to the original version in 1956. I think that's what he meant.
