Sep 11, 2011 - You only supposed to let it rest for only about 3 minutes, if you cooked it properly your steak should be coming out real nice and hot, so it won't get cold in just 3 minutes. If it might, then cover it up with some plastic wrap or tin foil to keep heat in. Letting it rest is very very important.

Oct 3, 2011 - i have a bulletproof way to make a good sirlion or filet ...works best if it is a 3cm tick or more ....fry it in the pan to get the crust ...set the oven on 180 degree celsius baked it 5 mins ..take it out let it rest for 5 ..then in again for 5 mins ..out and rest for 5 mins ...it alwas turns out perfect :)

May 2, 2012 - Just so you guys know... This method doesn't work 100 %. Some cuts, like tenderloin, are way softer than others, like flank/skirt steak, when uncooked. This is by no means foolproof. But yeah, a raw steak will be softer than a fully cooked one. This is just taking that too far.
