If you noticed, however, Damien Rice has a 'humbucker installed in the hole position of his acoustic guitar so that's how he gets the gain through an Acoustic I think.

May 10, 2012 - Cheers for that; had to slap my own face for not seeing that humbucker, too busy looking at his feet!! Time to experiment, I was considering putting a pickup somewhere deep in my acoustics body to pickup the percussive stuff ive been tipping and tapping out n about; buuuuuut now Im going to try a humbucker as mounted here, save the heavy modification and reversible! So thanks for pointing that out, appreciate it :-) Have a good one.

Im a tad financially adverse to the quality of a dunlop cry, but a coupla comments later a dude pointed out his humbucker mounted @ soundhole, im going to give that a try! I guess ill run both pickup signals into my looper (sampler) pedal ch 1 & 2? better install a selector switch while im at it too... Got me thinking!! Thanks again bro; have a good one :-)
