Mar 15, 2012 - finally animated data it only took 20 years to mainstream this concept

TheLivirus Says:

Mar 26, 2012 - Since his name is in the title it's more likely that you are the chimp, and it's chimpanzee not "chimpanchee".

TheLivirus Says:

Mar 26, 2012 - You should watch a talk by Richard Wilkinson called "How economic inequality harms societies"It's true that income inequality is a very important factor that is often neglected, but the macroinequality is also a problem.

Apr 4, 2012 - "Intellegent people outbreeding the "unintelligent"? hmmmmm think I remember reading a book about this but it had to be translated as it was originally printed in German.

InfiniteMomentStudio Says:

Apr 5, 2012 - have you watched the movie 'idiocracy' ? Great film : )

Anthonyk312 Says:

Apr 7, 2012 - except intelligence isn't passed down genetically, your argument is invalid.

sustainablehuman Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - Before the communist revolution in 1949, China had war, famine and probably the largest disparity in wealth in human history. Mao/the Communists were very successful in the early years (as all command economies tend to be), in giving all Chinese access to food and clothing, and redistributing land.Of course, there were many failures:The Great Leap Forward,Cultural Revolution, but overall, the average Chinese was safer, more secure, better nourished than they had been since the end of the Song.

Apr 11, 2012 - You only need a few smart people to lead the herd. You need many pawns to fight in wars and experiment on and so on.Uh...kidding.

Apr 11, 2012 - I'm not a big lady gaga fan but she is quite intelligent and nerd, she even call her self a nerd in some interviews, she's very liberal and open minded, we should consider her as one of us,i'm sure she watches TED talks too. next time make fun of Justin Bieber its more appropriated.

Apr 25, 2012 - I know, haha if I heard about this I wouldn't have felt like such an enlightened genius the other night when I came up with this idea to make a "Politically Incorrect Infographics" website. LOL

i7fan Says:

May 4, 2012 - He doesnt say that gaga is unintelligent. He says the reason so many tune in to shallow pop (sheep) is because the largest part of the population is not very clever. And no one can deny that fact. The smart people are in a minority.

655432655432 Says:

May 5, 2012 - but u have to reach them someway, and u not gonna do that with TED talks,if u watch mtv all day , u gonna think that Hans Rosling is a crazy old man, the change needs to be in environment not only thinking, smart people will alway be the minority, because its harder to become smart, and its relativistic, when dumb people of today become smart by today standards they will be consider unintelligent anyway by the smart people of tomorrow, and that's good because its is a constant evolution.

jhfl0000 Says:

May 8, 2012 - There is going to be a famine in western Africa but if people donate money now before the famine strikes (It has already startet) alot more lives can be saved than if people donate after the disaster has happen.I think the chance of saving a childs life is eight times bigger if it gets proper nutrition before it started starving than afterwards. Please spread the word.

Nacirema6969 Says:

May 10, 2012 - all you have to do is type in population growth in youtube.....

traslavc Says:

May 12, 2012 - Very clever, and witty.

TheLivirus Says:

May 14, 2012 - I think these easy to use and accessible statistics will show to be very important for reducing ignorance and international disputes and conflicts.I know it's irrational and oldfasioned to take pride in a vague affiliation as nationality, but I get this tickling sensation when I see this awesome tool accompanied by Rosling's ruthless Swedish accent.

TheLivirus Says:

May 14, 2012 - Ironically, Gapminder's statistics visualization software Trendalizer was aquired by Google three months after this talk. And even more so, I haven't seen any ads ever since. :/

bluechao Says:

May 21, 2012 - He's like some of my best professors in college. I was very lucky to have several very, very good ones. One of them was recently rated in the Princeton Review as one of the top teachers in America.

williamsstephens Says:

May 22, 2012 - Wow. I have a new hero and a new crush. I am a liberal -- which means I believe policy must be guided by evidence. And nowhere is the evidence stronger than where we have longitudinal data. There are no words to explain how critical a project like this -- which puts that data into a visual (and convincing) graphical format that is easily accessible -- can be.

rbrtchng Says:

May 23, 2012 - it'd be so awesome if he taught my classes.

YanjaaFilms Says:

May 29, 2012 - älskar hans svenska uttal.
