May 10, 2012 - The beginning is typical for Jon Lord. First he takes one of the most famous classical pieces ever (and doesnt feel ashamed of that) - as his knowledge is not very advanced - obviously. Then he is playing that in a way that every average classical pro musician would just begin to laugh, as it should be played at least in double tempo and with the right notes of course. It is just ridiculous. This man should stay in a rehearsal room and begin to practice.

May 12, 2012 - Your own knowledge is not very comprehensive either. Jon Lord composed (and fully arranged) several orchestral pieces. Before joining Purple, he (professionally) played mostly jazz. Unlike symphony orchestras, rock bands aren't really expected to reproduce classical pieces as notated. Gee, it almost seems as if it's a completely different discipline.

Too big for their own boots, obsessed with perfection, time signatures, time keeping, fingering, can't appreciate other musicians or different kinds of music.
